Some more Keena

I love these pictures! Keena was so much fun to hang out with last weekend. It rained and rained and rained last saturday, but we ventured up north of Nashville and hallelujah the rain stopped. Thank you Keena for having faith in me with these pictures. Hope you all like the preview.

Keena Preview

Today I ventured out to the boonies and shot Miss Keena. Ok, that sounds a bit like a scary movie. When I say shot, hopefully you know I mean 'take picture's of'. :) Here is a sneak peek of todays awesome shoot! Could Keena be any prettier? She is a rock star! I am off to edit more. These are amazing! Enjoy!

Baby Eli

Yesterday I got to have a photo shoot with baby Eli and his mama. I had a lot of fun getting to know them and practicing with my new lens. While I didn't get exactly what I wanted, I practiced and learned a few things. Eli was so sweet!

New Lens

All my anticipation was well worth it because earlier this week I got my new lens! I have wanted this lens for months! I love it already. :) Everyday I am learning new things; tips, tricks etc, and I can't seem to get enough. Here are a few example pictures i've taken since I got it. I've posted a few more (along with more wit) on the family blog. Enjoy.

More Dotty and Family

Wow. It's been a long time since I posted that picture of Dotty. I guess you could say I have been busy. Who isn't right?! Here are a few more of the shoot. Amanda gave her mom some pics of her daughter and brother and sister for mothers day. I hope she liked them. And I hope you all had a wonderful mother's day.

Dotty Preview + Experiment

I am almost finished editing Amanda's family pictures. These were a bit of a challenge for me because they were a little dark. I had the ISO turned up to compensate for the darkness... which means grain. A few of the pictures look really great, but some are grainy. I guess I still have SO much to learn (like you or I didn't know that!). This picture looks great on my laptop. We'll see what it does once I post it. This is Miss Dotty. She is adorable in all her 4 year old charm. Thank you Amanda!

Baby Colin and an awakening

Well it is Friday night and I had no intention at all to work on these pictures, let alone blog about them. But today I got some new actions and already have a favorite. It is a seventy's style look. So I tried it out on the shots I got of Colin last week at the park. Love it! Remember the beautiful pregnant lady on the beach. Yeah, that was Colin. He is still going through some of that 'baby acne' stuff and I know his mama is sensitive to that, so I think I found a great way around it. What do you think? His mom wanted some soft, detailed shots of his hands and feet. I still have more to go through, but this is what can share now.

On a side note, I have been wondering for weeks and weeks why my pictures look so different on this blog website, than they do in my photoshop. When I open one in photoshop, it is vibrant and beautiful. On here it looks stuffy and drab. It doesn't look terrible, just not at all like what it is supposed to look like. Thanks to my BFF for keeping me in the know, I now know that there is a different setting for photos that will be printed (what my main goal of all the pics on here eventually is) and ones that will go on the internet. So now I get to do 2 different editing on each picture (actually more .... don't ask) to make them correct. Aye Aye Aye. :) And of course I haven't applied this to these pictures coming up. Old habits are hard to break. So when mama gets these printed off they will look great, but for the meanwhile they may look a little drab. Sorry kiddo. He sure is beautiful though!!
